Media told that at the main Coptic Christian cathedral in Cairo, at least twenty two people died in a blast on Sunday.
The report added that the blast occurred at St Mark’s Cathedral in central Cairo.
Reports indicated that a bomb has been thrown inside a chapel that is next to the outer wall of the Cathedral.
St Mark’s Cathedral is the seat of the Orthodox Christian church in Egypt and is residence to the office of Pope Tawadros II, who is its spiritual leader.
