The supporters of the President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and New Patriotic Party (NPP) are very excited over the victory of their leader in the elections 2016.

The entire country ejected into wild celebration, right after the Head of Electoral Commission, Mrs Charlotte Osei announced the final winner of the 7 December elections.
Nana Addo defeated NDC’s Incumbent President John Mahama and five other Presidential aspirants in his third attempt.
According to the EC, total valid votes cast were 10,781609 and out of this Nana Addo grabbed 5,716,226 votes representing 53.85 % while Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) polled 4,713,277 making 44.40 %, and other five candidates polled very fewer votes.
In the country’s capital, Accra the NPP supporters waving the flag of their party couldn’t hide their happiness and joy as they ran through Alajo, Kotobabi, Tesano, Adabraka, Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Pig Farm and Achimota sinning their party’s campaign songs and some NDC supporters also joined them in the fun and celebrated their happiness.
One excited supporter of the opposition party, Sandra Owoo said, ‘I am very happy hearing Nana Akufo-Addo’s victory, it’s like a dream, it’s unbelievable. I won’t sleep tonight. It is the best news for me in this whole year. We thank God for this remarkable victory.’
