The Ghana, Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC) is estimated to address parliament within the last week of October.
According to the reports of Ekow Annan that no exact date was announced, the FM’s parliamentary correspondent, that Mrs Charlotte Osei is expected to brief the house on preparations by the commission towards the December 7 general elections before Friday, October 28.
Majority leader Alban Bagbin, who said that the house on Friday, 21 October on the schedule for the business for the house, added: “The EC will have to come and meet the committee of the whole and we have programmed about that one.”
in the meantime, the Business Committee of parliament has programmed the house to expand its sittings to include Mondays.
This, it deeply explained would help the house to complete its business before the 3rd meeting of the fourth session of the sixth parliament ends. With a some weeks to elections, the house has considered this move in order to on purpose on bills before the house closes.
Mr Bagbin urged members of the parties that not only to attend in their numbers to arrive on a resolution but also be ready to work for long time.
