President John Dramani Mahama has guaranteed traders at the Kaneshie Market of enhanced sanitation and improved drainage facilities in his 2nd term of office should he win the December 7 polls.
On Tuesday, 11 October 2016, Mr Mahama, presently on a tour of the Greater Accra Region, made a stop at the market.
He said that even though the Kaneshie Market is one of the few modern markets to be built in the early stages of Ghana’s progress, sanitation has been a most important challenge.
In Greater Accra, Kaneshie is one of the flood-prone areas. It is not easy gaining access to the place whenever it rains.
He will make sure that a solution is found to these troubles when he is given the mandate to govern the nation in his next term, Mr Mahama said.
President Mahama also used the chance to caution the traders and electorate “to desist from violence” in the build-up to the December 7 poll presidential and parliamentary polls.
