Founder of UT Holdings Kofi Amoabeng has said that the most graduates churned out by some universities in Ghana are not prepared for work in the corporate world.
This, he said, had provoked his institution to train job applicants for another 2 years even after hiring them.
He lamented the stop working of the training system in Ghana which has made it complicated to even trust the authenticity of the First Class honors of beautiful ladies who come out of the universities.
On Saturday, August 27, during in an interview with DJ Premier, he told that You cannot even trust the people that have come out. I used to tell people that if you are a woman and come to apply for a job with a 1st Class and you are very beautiful, I suspect the [authenticity] of the First Class. So that we have to find a way to test whether it is genuine or not.
He pointed out that the organization of the UT Academy was to retrain job applicants for the work at UT, and doing well applicants who complete the program are those recruited for long-term appointments.
According to in his words: “We have not done well for the educational sector…; either the job market is choked or there are no jobs, and those being produced are not good enough.”
