Cattle thieves in police custody
Three persons have been arrested by the Northern Regional Police Command for the crime of stealing cattles.
They were trying to steal a cattle from Voggu, in the Kumbungu district of the Northern Region, but couldn’t accomplish their goal and were captured by the residents who were sick of these suspects. Previously, the accused persons had stolen five cattles and now they were stealing their sixth cattle from Voggu.
According to an eyewitness, a Fulani Herdsman, he was going to his home when he saw something strange. He saw the suspects stealing a cattle from a herd and then transferring the cattle into a long Kia vehicle, having a registration number AW 2258-11.
When he saw a suspicious activity taking place he quickly used his mind, and made the owner of the herd aware of everything that was happening. When the owner of the herd came to know about the incident, he became both angry and worried but he kept himself in his sense because he had to do something quickly to stop his cattle from being stolen.
So, in order to prevent his cattle from being stolen he started calling for help and soon locals arrived at the scene and after knowing about what had happened, they grabbed the accused persons, but instead of killing the suspects they handed the accused persons over to police. They also destroyed the vehicle of the accused persons by setting it on fire.
