Benc Warrant Issued
A bench warrant has been issued by a Kumasi Circuit Court for the arrest of a trader, who frauded four persons.
The suspect assured the four victims that if they will give him specific amount of money, then he will help them in getting jobs in either Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), or Social Security and the National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), but after taking money fled from the scene without fulfilling his promise.
The accused person was arrested, he said that the charges on him were not true. His trial was going on but before any decision could be made, he escaped from police custody. The name of the suspect is George Adjei. He has two more partners whose names are George Boafo and Daniel Aluu. Police is searching for all the three of them.
The court, at which the trial of the accused person was taking place was being presided over by Mrs. Mary Nsenkyire. Due to the escaping incident of the suspect the case has been adjourned by the president of the court.
The name of the four victims are Ernest Kwaku Adjei, Stephen Twumasi Ankrah, James Addai and Prince Adu Ankrah. According to police inspector Benjamin Owusu Agyemang, George Adjei along with his other two partners persuaded the victims that they had connection with important people, and hence they could get the victims employed if they gave the suspects money.
