The lawyer of the Montie three case, Eduji Tamakloe has disclosed that Montie trio is very thankful and appreciative to all the Ghanaians for showing love and support for them, due to the prayers of Ghanaians they can make their way out from prison.
They said, Ghanaians support them amid their 30-day imprisonment at the Nsawam maximum prisons.
On Friday, 26 August the three criminals Godwin Ako Gunn, Alistair Nelson and Salifu Masee commonly known as Mugabe, a group of three also referred as ‘Montie 3’ are released from the prisons after serving one month in prison.
Montie 3 were sentenced to imprisonment for four month and each was fined GH¢10,000.00 by the Supreme Court for allegedly endangering the lives of judges on a live Montie radio program. They are pardoned by President John Mahama through his constitutional powers under the article 72 and after consulting with Council of State.
In an interview on radio channel with Kwame Adinkra, Eduji Tamakloe said his clients are feeling great after getting free from the Akuse prisons, located in Volta region.
The lawyer said, ‘Kwame it is very difficult to be in jail for about 30 days. It’s not a short period. They are upbeat and grateful to Ghanaians for their support, love and prayers.’
