Dr. Edward Omane Boamah
Communications Minister, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah has denied all the cautions regarding to the Montie 3 saga that if President agrees to pardon to the jailed trio on request, his will cause his political career to end.
Many politicians, communicators and social media reporters including Lawyer Sam Okudzeto, Kweku Baako Jnr and Presidential Candidate of CPP Ivor Greenstreet have warned President John Mahama over the Montie 3 case that if he grant pardon to the trio, President will bring about his ‘political death’.
However, Minister of Communications has debunked all these reports speaking on TV show Tuesday with Paul Adom Ochere.
A radio presenter working on National Democratic Congress (NDC) affiliated radio channel, Salifu Maase popularly known as Mugabe and two board members Godwin Ako Gunn and Alistair Nelson, who as of late showed up on the Pampaso appear, were found blameworthy of outraging the court, opposing and bringing down the power of the Supreme Court and bringing it into offensiveness.
On this case, The Supreme Court a fortnight back sentenced a four months prison term each to the three men. They were also fined GHC 10,000 each for such humiliated act.
Communications Minister said, “It is stated that if President Mahama acted according to court laws it would influence his political career negatively, by the power of God he will be terminated from Presidential seat on 6 Jan, 2021.”
