
President Mahama with two Deputy Ministers of State
Presidential Candidate of ruling NDC, President Mahama has cautioned several deputy ministers of state to avoid the egotism and offensive acts that could negatively affect the progress of country as the elections are drawing very near.
He said, “You should never forget that your obligation is to make check to the general population steadily independent of their political association (which party he or she is endorsing), geographical location and ethnicity, for haughtiness won’t take you anyplace.”
President gave the reprobation when he appointed Joseph Tetteh Angmor and Mr Emmanuel Habuka Bombande as Deputy Eastern Regional Minister and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration respectively.
President John Dramani Mahama nominated these two deputy ministers and further verified by Parliament and officially approved on 11 July 2016, make vow to Allegiance, Secrecy and Office.
President urged ministers to lead humble lives by taking guide from your senior and skilled politicians, listen to public with tolerance and show high level of responsibility, make them (people) enable to contribute their part in the development of country. Also, learn from the public who were served by the experienced politicians.
Speaking to Mr Emmanuel Habuka Bombande who was appointed as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, President advised him to utilize his experience and aptitude in peace building to help the nation’s ministry in its matters with other neighboring nations that were encountering some major problems.
Also, he appealed to the Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, Mr Angmor to use his talents as District Chief Executive to the advantage of individuals in the respective region and carry out some campaigns related to democracy.
