Maxwell Kofi Jumah
A Kumasi Circuit Court found Maxwell Kofi Jumah on Monday embarrassed of causing unlawful loss to electoral material.
Jumah, a former Member of Parliament for Asokwa community in Kumasi and one-time Deputy Minister of Local Government and Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Chief Executive was condemned along with his campaign executive, Oscar Riches.
According the Daily Guide newspaper stated that, the court supervised over by Afua Adu-Amankwa punished Jumah to a fine of GHc1200 or in default, spends 6 months in prison.
Oscar Riches aka Ghana Beyeyie was also punished to pay GHc960 or in avoidance serve a prison term of 3 months.
The court had formerly in the trial settled bail to the 2 of them in the totality of GHc10, 000 each with one deposit.
They were accused with 2 counts of affecting unlawful damage to a photo album fit in to the Electoral Commission and struggling arrest.
