The dance-hall queen Grace Kaki Awo Ocansey who is famously known as Kaakie has revealed that her absence from the musical industry has paved way for burgeoning artistes to register their names in the musical industry.
During her interview she said that her absence has paved way for upcoming artists. She stated that:
“When the cat is away, the mice play. [My absence gave way to the] nursery artistes. We will coach them.”
The artist who has recently released new song titled as ‘Sankwas’ said that the brand is not dead yet. Her conviction was on the basis that she is not struggling to make a hit.
She stated that:
“The brand is not dead. The people are rather yearning for more. And I went out to serve my people in a different way.”
Kaakia stated that still people throw shots at her and they assume that it’s the easiest way to catch attraction of public.
“I was on something; I’m done. So if you talk one, I will talk ten… Stay in your lane; don’t try to drag my name along because my name has its own respect.”
The dance-hall queen holds degree of BSc in Midwifery. She stated that although she is registered nurse but she always preferred music.
