At the Ghana Police Service, the Director of Public Affairs tells their main precedence now is to provide maximum security to all Presidential candidates and their running mates proceeding to November 7, elections.
Superintendent Cephas Arthur was speaking with media and he noted that during their campaign tours, the service has completed its promise to defend the party’s flagbearers.
He said last week, IGP COP John Kudalor had a productive discussion with the party’s reps to confirm arrangement.
He told the media that they vowed to defend presidential nominees and their running mates and police have completed their promise and the IGP promised maximum security and he has allotted four armed police officers to every Presidential nominee and two every to running mates.
He said meanwhile, NPP, NDC, GCPP, NDP, APC, PPP and Madam Akua Donkor’s party GFP have police lead to help them during their campaign tours. |
