As the population of Ghana raises rapidly with a rate of 700,000 people every year, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the National Population Council have cooperated to manage population increased, reduce poverty, and attain national development goals.
According to the Population Reference Bureau 2015, the population of Ghana hit 27 million in 2015 and is growing rapidly at a rate of 700,000 people each year – which is one of the fastest rates in the world. That translates into 7 million people every year. At that rate, Ghana’s population will be sixty million people by 2050.
Hence, in opinion of this, the USAID and NPC have teamed up to agreement with the conforming demand of the growing population.
Therefore, the US Embassy in Accra posted on its official (Facebook) page: “USAID work together with the National Population Council to discourse the importance of handling rapid population growth, decrease poverty, and attain national development goals.
So, how can we make sure that our population growth rate is maintainable with respect to our accessible resources, organized natural and economic?
