The deputy captain of Ghana, Andre Ayew believes that Ghana Black Stars World Cup qualifiers campaign will be full of ups and down as they will face some tough challenges from the seven times Nations Cup champions Egypt, Congo and Uganda.
The Black Stars have been drawn against Group E of the African zone for the 2018 World Cup qualifying round alongside Egypt, Congo and Uganda and the winner of each group will qualify for the finals in Russia.
The Swansea City striker, who have played for Ghana in last two World Cup campaigns in South Africa and Brazil as Ghana will be looking forward to their fourth successive World Cup.
This is the most important tournament for every footballer; in fact it’s a dream of every player to represent his country in FIFA World Cup, said the 26 year Ghanaian player, who recently has signed a five-year brand ambassadorial deal with uniBank.
As we all know, today’s football is not the same as of the past. Now, every team has good players, good coaches and you cannot underrate any team, said Andre Ayew.
Our main target is to win opening games against Uganda and Egypt on October 10 and November 15 respectively, so that there will be no pressure on us till the end and we would put our full focus on winning the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
