A grenade blast has killed at least 2 people during Madagascar’s national day celebrations in the capital Antananarivo, according to media and official reports.
Approximately 80 people injured in this blast according to media.
The president t Hery Rajaonarimampianina said that it the activity of the terrorist and blamed on political revenge.
The condition remains fragile in the nation, with supporters and opponents of the president at loggerheads.
The explosion happened during a free concert at the Mahamasina stadium. A military procession had been held there earlier.
It was not instantly clear who or what was behind the blast.
The Mr. President said we will never tolerate that type of behavior and that type of conduct, we are searching for the person behind the incident and we punish very strictly.
In 2014, a grenade blast killed a toddler and hurt several other people outside the same stadium.
