The Electricity Company of Ghana, has cut power supply to the new Cape Coast stadium as part of its ongoing mass suspension exercise.
The Stadium owes the Electric Company Ghana, GHC719,792.56.
In the Eastern area, institutions such as the Joseph’s Hospital and the Ghana Prisons Service have all been affected in the exercise and faced many problems.
The workout also sparked a scuffle at the Koforidua Prisons as officers there allegedly ceased the ladder of the Electric Company of Ghana taskforce who had gone there to divide.
However, the Koforidua Polytechnic were secure after they pleaded with part-payment of their balance.
Electric company of Ghana Officials will carry out a similar exercise at the Eastern district headquarters of the Police Service and other institutions tomorrow, Tuesday 28 June.
The move is being carried out by the state power supplier to collect unpaid debts from customers.
