During the exhibition exercise in July, the Deputy Commissioner in command of Operations has stated that the register of the voters will be clean by the Electoral Commission (EC).
The main opposition party NPP and other groups, have repeatedly complained against what they say is a bloated voters’ register.
On Wednesday, while appearing ahead of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament, Amadu Sulley, the Deputy Commissioner in-charge of Operations at the EC, stated that the process of exhibition will help make a convincing register.
He said that it was throughout the exhibition that they were capable to arise with a convincing register or do the cleaning and there were different processes that lead to the cleaning of the register of voters whatsoever they were going to do next month, is going to be very lawful and the processes will be obvious.
They can’t end the exhibition before they come and state they are going to do one more cleaning or they do cleaning before they enter into the exhibition.
