Seth Terkper, the Finance Minister has started separating the human resource setup of the government from its payroll system as it shift to incorporate the electronic payment system in its system.
Aim of this system is to reduce the paper trail in the payment and to settle the government employees.
Mr Seth Terkper, the Finance Minister in Accra on June 15 said that at the media launch of the Ghana National Single Window Strategic Action Plan.
He said this launch is a motivated effort to use ICT platforms payments, which is why MMDAs no longer use paper trails for government releases.
Therefore the Ministry of Finance is, working with the Public Services Commission to create an electronic human resource management.
Mr Seth Terkper said currently, the Controller and Accountant Generals’ Department for public sector workers introduced the electronic e-payslip system and more workers using this system.
E.payslip offered mechanized payroll services.
