KK Fosu, Ghanaian highlife singer has categorised the musicians who walk off the stage during a performance as infantile.
In a recent interview, he said that he has noticed many artists doing this but he thinks it to be utterly immature and irresponsible behaviour which must not be encouraged in the industry.
“It’s the outcome of anger which comes naturally and especially when things do not turn up the way we want them to be. But this attitude is infantile. We must remember that we have reached this place only because of our supporters.
Sometimes from the crowd, people blurt out bad remarks at us but we must show patience. It’s always wise to remain calm and behave professionally.”
Now a day, walking off the stage during performances has become a common practice for many musicians. It’s not only observed in Ghana but all over the world.
As for examples in Ghana, one can never forget Stonebwoy who threw his microphone in the crowd when a fan came up on the stage to imitate the way he walks, Shatta Wale, walking off stage in Kumasi while performing at Luv FMs Old Skull Reunion and many more.
