Ghana’s main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has laughed off information that it is considering recalling postponed national chairman Paul Afoko and general secretary Kwabena Agyepong.
A section of the media is reporting that the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition has started moves to drop permissions against the pair after the National Executive Council punished them following a disciplinary hearing.
The 2 were suspect of working against the fortunes of the largest opposition party hence their postponement which is presently being contested in court.
The communications director of the NPP, Nana Akomea, has repudiated plans to bring the duo back, saying the reports are “mere conjecture.”
The consideration of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been strained to stories on one or two social media portals that the party expects to recall Mr. Paul Afoko and Mr. Kwabena Agyepong.
At the last Directing and National Executive Committee consultations, this matter did not come up at all for any conversation, much less a decision.
