Wearing makeup is something every girl loves to do; makeup can change the whole personality of a person if worn correctly. There are a lot of makeup products available in the market and a lot of them are not for many of us, it is important to learn about your skin type and color before buying any makeup as not everything suits on everyone. There are certain shades and color that will look stunning on you, but not on your friend, so everything comes down to the importance of learning the basics of makeup.
In this article we will discuss about certain things every girl should know about wearing makeup.
1. Choosing foundation for your skin:
It is important to get the right foundation for your skin type, if you have dry skin, liquid foundation and hydrating powder will work for you. If you have an oily skin mat foundation and powder will be good and if you have a combination skin type, then liquid foundation with powder will be good for you. When choosing the color of your foundation then it is important to go for the color that matches your arms, neck and chest area rather than your face, because it will blend down to your arms, neck and chest area color after a while. When you start to apply the foundation, apply a little on the sponge or your fingers and dab it onto your chin, nose, forehead and cheeks and rub towards the centre of your face and work your way to the edges of your face. Rub foundation in downward strokes to lay down the little hair on your face.
2. Applying Powder:
The girls with normal to dry skin can skip this step, but those with oily skin should apply powder. By dipping a light brush into the product and getting rid of the excessive powder. Apply by lightly stroking brush onto your face, paying special attention to the forehead, chin and nose.
3. Adding a little bronzer:
Bronzer is a great way to add a natural looking sun kissed glow to your face. Take a lighter color, you can also select the shimmery one and rub onto the areas that sun would make shine like cheek bones, chin, and forehead.
4. Stroking the blush -on correctly:
Choose the powder blush or cream blush if you have dry to normal skin. Select the colors that go correctly with your skin color, focus on which colors will you blush naturally and get that one. When it comes to the application of blush-on, smile and pop out the apples of your cheeks, stroke the brush or cream on to the cheeks apple first and rub it towards your hair line lightly. If you over did it, apply little powder to wipe off extra color from your cheeks.
5. Selecting and wearing lipstick:
Select a color that matches your natural lip color and it won’t ever be wrong. Choose a lip liner in a natural lip color and apply it on to your lips after moisturizing your lips, followed by the lipstick. This will make your lipstick stay on longer and your lips look fuller.
6. Eye shadows for you:
Natural skin colors like brown and rose pink or skin make you look pretty and your skin smooth. Other sharp colors like plum, purple or gray give classy look to your face.
7. Wearing eyeliner in the right way:
Eye liners are easier to apply with the gel liners that are waterproof and do not smudge or smear even if you sweat or throw some water on your face. Black and brown eyeliners flatter most of the women. Apply by making small dots on the lash line and then just connect the dots together by swiping the brush across the lash line.
8. Pop your eyes out with Mascara:
Mascara can help define and elongate your eye lashes. Select a brush that is fluffy and bigger. Start by swiping the brush from the roots and wiggle it left and right in the middle to separate and lift your eyelashes and take it all the way to the front of the fringe. If you are feeling adventurous, rub a little mascara on the lower lashes as well and make your eyes pop. These are a few tips to get started with your daily makeup routine, as time passes there will be more to learn and experience. You are really pretty, just need to highlight yours looks like all the striking actors did out there!
