The Ghanaian defender, John Paintsil has denied all the reports regarding his sacking news by South African Premier League side Maritzburg United.
The 33 year old star will not feature for the ABSA Premier League side at the end of the season, following the Club’s unwillingness to extend his contract.
But, some sources have claimed that the sacking of the Ghanaian player is just rumors and he will continue to play for the South African club.
In another report, they mention that the club is planning to sack him due to his non-performance and misconduct.
John Paintsil denied all kinds of reports related to his sacking, poor form or misbehavior attitude with the club officials.
“I don’t know why people like to publish such kind of news, even before knowing the truth,” said Paintsil.
Just because they are not willing to extend my contract, doesn’t mean they are sacking me, I may just leave the club at the end of the season.
Leaving the club and sacking are two different things; therefore, the media should not confuse people by publishing fake stories.
John is planning to find out a new club at the end of the 2015/16 South African Premier League. He joined Maritzburg from fellow South African Club Santos, but has been not in great form at the Club, ever since the arrival of German coach Ernst Middindorp.
