Over the last few years, music videos have been developed as an additional promotional tool to a work of art in itself. Also thanks to the 4syte Music Video Awards, because of them musicians, singers, producers and directors of music videos get their reward and reap what they sow by doing hard work; at least they get reward for making incredible and amazing music videos.
By looking at a music video made by Ghanaian artist, Kwame Jay, we can see that how much his work is promising and amazing.
Highlife music artist, Kwame Jay, has prepared himself very well for the music industry. He recently releases a music video of his latest hit song “Medo Ama”, featuring Okyeame Kwame, is also an incredible work to check out. It indicates to show us new and energizing positions in music videos and Snare Beats directed it.
With scenes of the vocalist and Okyeame Kwame surrounded by profoundly stylish background and beautiful individual dance artists, the symbolism is a ton to take in, considering the way of the music itself.
The video is very glittery, glowing, delicate and colorful to match with the style of the highlife-Afropop combination dance tune that the song carries.
A very fine reward for the music video is of Okyeame Kwame’s scene. He can cooperate with his audience and fans, conveys his rap in such a way that it makes a vigorous atmosphere; in addition his amazing outfit suits the multi colored background of the scene.
In any case, talking about association between lyrical content of the song and video content, I raise two thumbs down for a few sections of the video. Initial one seen toward the start of the song as a chorale of voices set in.
Okyeame Kwame’s voice is heard inquisitively examining the genre of the song. He solicits Kusilin, the producer of the song that if it is Highlife, R&B or Jazz. Yet, in that portion of the song’s video, containers and glasses of wine are somewhat shown and Okyeame Kwame is seen delicately chatting with a woman.
