The Media Monitoring Cell of NDC in Ashanti Region, generally known as serial callers says the main opposition NPP could hop on issues rising within NDC in the region to destabilize it.
Chairman of the Media Monitoring Cell Abdul Latif Abdullah says the party members should give respect to the decision of the President Mahama on the recent re nomination of Yamoah Ponkoh and others for MDCE positions.
The serial callers want their party members who disagree to avoid the media programmes and follow the party procedures.
The serial callers Chairman fear’s allegations of bribery and counter allegations as in the case of Ejisu Juabeng have the inclination to arm opposition party NPP against NDC.
The parliamentary candidate of NDC for Ejisu Juaben, Gloria Huze has accused the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Collins Dauda of taking a massive amount of GHc400, 000 from Yamoah Ponkoh to influence his nomination as MCE of the area.
The media monitoring cell also want the party hierarchy to be up and take control of the situation.
The serial callers who are shocked by the involvement of party executives they believe should know better emphasized; “We should all cease fire if we want to achieve our one million votes target, we don’t want the party to become like the NPP”.
“The Afigya Kwabre executives are also alleging that Madam Betty is supporting the DCE; a situation we see as unfortunate and calculated to tarnish the image of Madam Betty and the MCE”.
