Both Ghana and England are in contestant to call upon Leicester striker Joe Dodoo to their national squad.
The 20 year old young star will soon become part of the England U-21 squad this season after signing for Leicester last month.
Joe Dodoo scored a brilliant hat-trick on his debut against Bury in the Capital One Cup and since then has been a major member of Claudio Ranieri’s Premier League squad.
He has already represented England at U18 level, but his performances have alerted Black Stars and they are trying their best to force him to change his mind and play for his home team.
Joe was born in Kumasi, Ghana but move with his grandmother to England when he was just eight years old. He settles with his family in Nottingham and started his football career at the age of 13.
I am proud of my Ghanaian heritage, but still I consider myself English, therefore I would like to stay here rather than going back and representing Ghana at international level.
He will be part of Leicester squad that will face Aston Villa on Sunday in the English Premier League.
Leicester City is currently in fourth place in the English Premier League table with two wins and two draws.
