Instagram has altered its square format with an update that adds landscape and portrait formats to the application of image-sharing on smartphone. Today, Instagram said that square format has been and at all times will be part of who they are. It added that it has been said, the visual story the users are trying to tell should always come first, and they wish to make it simple and fun for the users to share moments just the way the user wants to. Updated versions of Instagram tailored for mobile devices ran by Android or Apple software let users share videos or photos in landscape or portrait styles. Roughly one out of every five posts to Instagram is in a square format, as stated by the company owned by Facebook. Instagram added that they know that it has not been easy to share this kind of content on Instagram — friends get removed from group shots, the topic of your video feels hampered and you cannot capture the Golden Gate Bridge from one end to the other end. It added that they are particularly excited about what this update means for video on Instagram, which in big-screen can be more filmic than ever.
