Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Alhaji Collins Dauda has set up businessmen in Kumasi to encourage development of US$298 million Kejetia project as its contribution towards economic stability would be remarkable.
Although, the project had caused problems for some of local traders, but they should have an explicit knowledge of what would be good in long run and they should collaborate with contractors, he said.
As Kumasi is rapidly growing region and is therefore, the focus of Ghana Government to invest on suitable projects, so that issues of growing population and economic downturn could be fixed, he added.
Mr. Alhaji Collins was speaking with media on Wednesday, during his visit to project site.

A Brazillian Company, Messrs Contracta Engenharia is project contractor.
