It is not identified the number of people on the dangerous journey to the United States, or the time between the beginning of the journey and the arrest.
Though, one of the fishermen spoke to the relatives in Ghana using a mobile phone said to have been hidden under a mattress from one of the survivors. He also told the survivors were part of about five hundred prisoners in the custody of the Angolan Authorities.
They are appealing to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to interfere to protect them.
