Mr Kingsley Agyei, a lecturer at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) and security analyst, has advised the NPP to investigate and find the offender behind leaked secret meeting audio conducted at the residence of former President Kufour.
He expressed that the secret recordings have important security implications and must not be favored.
According to him, every party has elders and structures who meet from time to time to purposive on strategies and politics,which when exposed, compromises the agenda of the party.
On Thursday, the analyst, speaking to the media, stated, inasmuch as secret audios may have a positive result when someone is forethought a coup d’etat or planning evil against a group of people or a state, however, it’s not good when it’s leaked to the public.
Moreover, he said that Mr. Kufuor could be at imperil if he can be taped in his own residence without the awareness of somebody including his security and personal assistance.
After a conference at the ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor’s residence with party leaders and some religious leaders to initiate moves to rehabilitate peace among the rank and file of the NPP, the concerns of Kingsley Agyei come on the heels of a leaked audio.
Mr. Kingsley Agyei is calling for an inquiry into the matter also warned Ghanaians to be careful when having discussions either publicly or privately.
The confidential audios have been a new situation in the nation with various personalities over the political divide falling victim to this poor style of behavior.
