Dr. Kwabena Adjei, group chairman of Kasapreko Company said that with the cooperation in trading and commerce sectors, we can develop private sectors and create private sector as the place of sharing knowledge, skills and experiences.
He said as the sector was established with the help of professionals and human resource efforts so this can be a leverage for the country’s development.
This was said by Dr. Adjei while addressing on the topic of “The Role of the private sector in Regional Integration” In a conference in Accra.
This one day conference was held by Akwaaba, and the purpose was to offer the opportunity for the best players in tourism to invest in this sector for the development of the country. This was the best tourism event in West Africa.
Dr. Adjei said that it is very important for the companies to consistently look after the opportunities, which can help in developing the country.
He said that the Government always provides good growth opportunities for the private business by making agreements with treaties that could promote the trade and industry.
He stated that the government had signed agreement with other states and that would increase the level of trade among other countries and create a positive change for private businesses.
The positive change in the private sector would be beneficial to the members of the country to provide jobs and other facilities as well as stabilize the economy.
He added, however, there are many challenges which the private sector has to face.
Further, he said that for private sectors there is a need to harmonize themselves in border controls and trade tariffs and integrate financial infrastructure and information communication technologies. It would be helpful for the betterment of the private sector to develop the economy.
Moreover, he said about languages that we have to learn foreign languages so that we can easily communicate with other countries. It is necessary for economic development.
