Mr Emmanuel Kusi the acting regional manager of Sunayi depot stated that the Metro Mass Transit Limited (MMTL) is in first place in Ghana and lead Ghana transportation.
There are 66 buses which are allocated on the Sunayi depot from which 53 buses are Operating but 11 are under maintenance.
According to him approximately 88 percent buses are working properly and their services are continued for 24 hours in the whole country.
Furthermore, he said that now MMTL has badly affected by the entrance of new companies in the transport industry.
He stated that there are less risk in their operations because of their support for the passengers and it encouraged the company.
Moreover, Mr Kusi explained that the company is well known for the challenges which it has to face like road accidents, but yet there is no record of any accident from the start of this year.
Although 150 drivers are trained again, both Practically and theoretically, in the region and the purpose of this training is to reduce the chances of road accidents so that the record of zero serious accident will continue in 2015
However, we taught the drivers some tactics about the effective use of fuel so that we can reduce our operating cost as well as satisfying the costumers said by Mr Kusi.
As under the corporate social responsibility we do not increase our fares as the price of fuel increases MMTL is providing the cheapest fares to its passengers among all other transportation companies.
