The Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, Ms. Mavis Ama Frimpong has stated that President Mahama is undoubtedly committed to improve the education sector at all levels in the area of infrastructure, access, quality and manpower.
She specially talked about the establishment of 200 Community Senior High Schools across Ghana, and the facilities that would be provided to both senior and junior High schools.
The Deputy Minister admired Mahama Government for constructing a 900,000-dollar multipurpose Assembly Hall facility in the Koforidua Secondary Technical School which is financed by the Old Students Association.
Addressing the audience in the Association’s well-attended function, Ms. Frimpong expressed that it is education is a mutual responsibility of the government and all associated people specifically the beneficiaries of the system.
She was of the view that education is the only way to strengthen our coming generations and supporting the government in providing quality and easy to get an education was a positive step towards the prosperous future.
She praised the Association for having invested in this ever fruitful sector.
The Deputy Minister promised to give one hundred bags of cement to contribute in the construction of this project.
