Mallam Shaani; Politics has destabilized Ghana
Mallam Shaani Bashiru, the Accra Polytechnic Lecturer says that politics with its acts of conflicts, corruption, intolerance and deception has destabilized the country.
Mallam Shaani Bashiru said that these acts have pulled Accra backwards in terms of functional and structural development.
He mentioned non-payment of taxes, illogical interests put on loans, moral degeneration, preaching of virtue and practicing vice as elements that contributed to slow down the development of the nation.
Mallam Bashiru also a researcher fellow at GMA Ghana Muslim Academy, was speaking to the 17th M. A. Mujahid Annual Ramadan lecture’s 3rd session of the Ghana Muslim Academy.

Politicians present themselves to the general public themselves as they are willing to serve while giving the mandate, but they do the opposite when they are elected into power.
He said that being a servant, leader is the commonest talk of the most position seekers, yet their work disprove it when they are given mandate.
He described that types of leadership as transactional; charismatic and transformational.
Mallam Shaani Bashiru explained that a charismatic leader draws the people attention, he is incapable of pretending and providing citizens the opportunity to share ideas towards reaching their common goals.
The research Fellow said that transformational leaders are thinkers who believes in common goals that makes them to put their resources together to achieve it.
Mallam then described transactional leaders as those who are appeased unless a task is achieved extremely well.
He advised public to be sociable, insight, humble, integrity, wide, visionary reasonable, alert and wide if they want to become good leaders in the future.
