The National Security’s officials will be in charge of investigation of the re-sit of the cancelled exams of the Basic Education Examination (BECE) which kicks off on June 29.
Security officials will be responsible selecting of printing of papers, examination questions and distribution throughout the 2-day period as part of government effort to strengthen security, the Deputy Minister of Education in charge of Tertiary, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has stated.
The 5 cancelled papers were Religious and Moral Education 2, Integrated Science 2, English Language 2, Social Studies 2 and Mathematics 2.
I wish you well and also encourage you to stay strong in order to control all the challenges that you may encounter, stated by the Deputy Minister of Education in charge of Pre-Tertiary on the re-sit’s occasion of the cancelled papers in the BECE.
I request all of you never to permit the recent examination leakages to have any psychological effect on you. Indeed, your parents, teacher and well wishers will continue to assist you.
Therefore, I urge you to prepare yourself properly in accordance with the rules & regulations governing the examination to strengthen its credibility.
All municipal, regional and District Directors are therefore, urged to work closely with WAEC officials for the successful conduct of the examinations, he added.
To curb any form of leakage I also request to the Security Aggencies to support all stakeholders in the examinations.
I wish to appeal all invigilators and supervisors to ensure that during the examinations the needed peaceful atmosphere is created at all times.
I wish you all best of luck and guidance of God throughout the examinations.
