At the Indian education institution of Mass Communication, in New Dehli, a journalist from Graphic showbiz, Annastacia Delali Sika has appeared the overall best student in a 4 month developmental journalism course.
From a presenter of countries including Nigeria, Afghanistan, Ivory Coast, Uzbekistan, Madagascar, Lesotho, Nepal, Uganda, & Lesotho, among others, the India Government picked Delali Sika amongst 19 students.
Under a diversity of courses, containing Development Journalism, Economics, Globalization and Media Ethics, the students were taken.
Delali Sika narrated her experience in an interview as “an eye-opening one” which has revealed to a much wider, conception of journalism and its use.
She said, “The course was demanding with many sleepless nights but I believe it has been worth it at the end. The course has intensified not only my Comprehension of journalism but also of government policies and implementation as well,”
Moreover, Delali Sika said that however she didn’t presume to achieve the prize of the overall top student, which arrived with a quotation ,and a prize money of Rs. 10,1000(GHC600), she was praised to have been chosen from out of all the existing students.
She said, however her specialization was in the department of arts and entertainment, the 4 months course had enabled her with the necessary expertise to be an extensive journalist.
Excepting her educational experience, Delali said she had awareness into the civilization and traditions of the people of India, which recognized them as a group of people.
She stated, “It’s surprising to see that the Indians really adore their culture and are proud to teach non-native. I guess it was one appreciable thing I learnt from the nationals and hope to learn about the Ghanaian culture as well,”
