Black Satellites beat Colombia in their final practice game before the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup kicks off on May 30.
In their last game against Portugal, they lost 1-0 but didn’t make any make while taking on South Americans at the Valentine Sport Complex in Sydney on Sunday, winning 2-0 against Colombia, their first ever victory over them in three attempts at the U-20 level.
The first half ends in a goalless draw, thanks to Red Bull Salzburg midfielder David Atanga who opens the scoring for the Black Satellites in the 56th minute of play.
Just 9 minutes from time, Lanky forward Benjamin Tetteh added the second for Ghana to make sure they will go into the mega event with high morale with this victory over Colombians.
Black Satellites of Ghana won their four games out of the five friendly ahead of their U-20 World Cup campaign in New Zealand starting May 30 – June 20.
Ghana will continue with their training session for the next few days and hold their training camp in Wellington on May 29, just a day before their World Cup opener against Austria.
They will face six times champions Argentina on June 2 and will face Panama in their last group game on June 5 of next month.
