Ghana Black Stars will face Mauritius in Accra for the first time in three years, as Ghana’s capital will host a competitive Black Stars match.
According to the media reports, it has been confirmed that the game between Ghana and Mauritius will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The sports ministry has already started their work to put the final touch to their preparations and to fix all the issues related to the stadium. It has been announced during Tuesday’s Ghana FA Executive Committee meeting to conclude on a programme for the Black Stars.
Black Stars of Ghana are in group H with Rwanda, Mozambique and Gabon.
The meeting members have concluded that the head coach, Avram Grant will invite all the players before June 1 to start their preparations for the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
I have already finalized the 30 member squad list, which will be given a call to join the camp before June 1, said head coach of Ghana, Avram Grant.
Black Stars will start their 2017 AFCON journey with a warm-up friendly in Accra on June 6 against Togo.
In September, 2008 Black Stars played their last game in Accra, when they beat Malawi 2-0 to qualify for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
