WHO official warns government to beware of Ebola Virus
WHO, World Health Organization official asked the government Ghana to expand its preparation against the possible outbreak of Ebola which according to her remains a horrible threat to the country.
Magdalene Rabalo, the Country Director of World Health Organization in Ghana said in a forum, that was held by the WHO on Friday in Accra that borders of Ghana are porous, people are now eating bats that are major spreader of Ebola virus, and are also keen to shaking hands during the public gatherings and meetings could easily spread this dreadful virus.
She told the local media that the outbreak war far from being finished, she also urged people of Ghana to maintain caution and attention and to avoid the activities that could expose them to the infection of Ebola.
DHM, the Deputy Health Minister of Ghana, Victor Bampoh gave the assurance that Ghana was doing everything to stop this dangerous disease.
Bampoh said that government has done collaboration with the World Bank to instruct more Ghanaian medical employees to assist fight the Ebola virus and other fatal diseases.
The Ebola virus has killed more than nine thousand and five hundred people in three most affected countries, including Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone but recorded a extraordinary decrease in the infection rate in past months.
