AU has strongly commended the terrorist attacks in Kenya
The AU, African Union has strongly condemned the GUC , Garissa University College attacks in North Eastern Kenya.
These terrorist attacks have been associated with the Al Shabaab, the terrorist group.
More the one hundred and fort students and staff were killed during the attack at the school on Thursday, while almost seventy nine among them were injured.
Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma the chairperson of the Commission of African Union describes these attacks as barbaric, in his press release.
She offered the heartfelt condolences of the African Union to the families of the people who suffered and she made a wish to the injured people for getting well soon.
She also expressed the solidarity of the African Union with the government of Kenya and its people and for the full support of their combating efforts in the scourge of the terrorism.
Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma also reiterated the deep appreciation to the Kenya for its marvelous contribution to the African Mission in Somalia and the enormous sacrifices made towards stabilizing the Kenya, as part of the general efforts to promote security and peace in the region and all the countries as a whole.
Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma underlined the transformed and coordinated African efforts to combat and stop tourisms, and aggressive extremism with the relevant continual framework of the relevant international and continental instruments.
She further repeated that the determination of African Union to continue supporting efforts that has been deployed in the respect by regional countries both Djiboutiand AMISOM process on the security cooperation enhancement in East Africa.
