Black Stars are still without their first win after the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations after playing a 1-1 draw against Mali on Tuesday night in Paris.
They were a far better side than Mali throughout the game, as Midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu scored the opening goal of the match in the 52nd minute of play.
A pass from Richmond Boakye-Yiadom straight to the Udinese player, and Emmanuel didn’t make any mistake to stab the ball past goalkeeper Soumaila Diakite.
Mali got their first chance in the first half when their striker Sambou Yatabare shot hit the cross-bar in the 28th minute after dominating play.
Black Stars continue to dominate the game until Striker Bakary Sako converted from the penalty spot to level the things for Mali.
It was a clear penalty kick as Boakye-Yiadom fouled a Mali striker inside the box.
Black Stars made some changes before the match with an inclusion of Ayew, David Accam and Kwesi Appiah – all players of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations silver medal winning team.
The lost in this game means, Black Stars have to wait for some time before earning their first victory after the 2015 AFCON, as they lost their earlier friendly game against Senegal 2-1 in Le Havre last Saturday.
Also, Mali suffered a loss in a high scoring game against Gabon with a 4-3 margin.
