
Ghana unable to develop without long-term planning
Chairman of the EAC of the President of Ghana, Mr Ishmael Yamson had called for to form the definite long term strategic plan to drive effectively the socio economic vision and prosperity for the country.
According to him, our country would not make any significant headway if things keep on going in same way as it has been doing over the years ahead.
He was at the first public forum on the topic of the Ghana’s monetary policy Stance, National budget and its implications for business in 2015.
He accused politicians for failing people of Ghana and creating many hardships in economic sector because they are unaware of putting thing in proper order for the required growth needed for the development of the country.
The forum was organized by the Chartered Institute of Bankers Ghana; the aim of the forum was providing a platform where the people would be able to acquire the effectiveness and adequacy of the government policies and strategies to meet the economic challenges at current situation.
Mr Yamson said the Ghana has the lack of the effective planning at long term level therefore it is facing many problems, there is absence of the major institutions that must handle technical issues and the desertion of inherited programs and policies that would have make stronger the development agenda.
