
College of Community and Organization Development (CCOD) conducted a survey, in which Sunyani-based Technical University reveals that every four out of each of five private business organizations in the Ghana are collapsing.
The survey was conducted in Ashanti, Western Region, Brong-Ahafo and Greater Accra it attributed the poor managerial collapse and lack of strategic leadership development.
The President of the College, Mr. Gabriel Gbiel Benarkuu revealed this on Tuesday when University of Development Studies and the College signed the affiliation agreement at the campus of the university in the Tamale Metropolis.
This agreement is for three years and it is also renewable, this agreement enables the college to run MSC and BSC in Organizational Development, and also professional certificates in related field, advanced certificates in Organizational Development certified consultant and other professional courses.
Mr Benarkuu further told that the survey indicated that many young administrators rushed to start their businesses without examining and studying the potential economic prediction of those businesses.
He appreciated the partner and said that he was thinking positively that it would be boosted and strengthened for their mutual benefit.
He briefed that the college had other partners in the Nigeria, Zambia, Kenya and United States of America and facilitated OD programs for academia and professionals and strategic leadership development.
The Pro Vice Chancellor of the UDS, Professor Gabriel A Teye much admired the college for meeting the requirements of affiliation.
He explained that UDS would award and mentor its certificate to the students at the college.
