Twitter rolling out direct group messaging and video camera
In the competition of new age of social media, micro-blogging site twitter enhances its services by launching two new features including group messaging and extended video experience for its users. This is officially announced through the twitter’s official blog on January 27.
“A few months ago, we mentioned some features coming soon, and today we’re excited to start rolling out two of them: group messaging and a new mobile video experience” stated on official twitter blog.
Twitter is rolling out new features just because of the rapid growth of newer apps like Instagram, Whatsapp and Snapchat as they are providing more facilitating features to users so the twitter as commonly perceived as slow in providing updates and features were feeling dire need to expand its services to compete and survive in the age of bulk social media apps.
Micro-blogging site tries to grab the users of Whatsapp and like other apps by rolling out the new feature of twitter’s group direct messaging, that allows you to exchange private group messages with up to 20 people. Through adding this feature twitter attempts to grow into the more effective social media platform.

The upcoming new feature of twitter will also allow the users to capture edit and share videos through the twitter app with much more ease and this new feature allow the users to share their memorable moments through video of 30 seconds and less lengthy.
New features aslo allow the users to capture edit and share videos of 30 seconds or less through the twitter app which will be available for iPhone, smartphone and android users too.
Twitter have also planned to launch the video feature for the iPhone users to upload videos from camera roll and this service will be available for the android and smartphones users very soon.
This enhancement of twitter is aiming to grab the user’s engagement as according to some analysts twitter is slower as compare to its competitors.
A Pew Research Center study disclosed that Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Instagram are above than twitter in the number of US users.
