Contact lenses are small silicon or plastic made disc shaped objects that wore in the eyes at the front of your eyes, to correct refractive errors. Contact lenses are also sometimes used for cosmetic purpose to change the color of one’s eye ball. Contacts are placed on top of the iris, where it floats in the teary film in front of cornea.
Your doctor will check your eye sight, and write prescription for you, it will mention what number of lenses you will need. Your eye sight number might change over time. Sometimes the number of your glasses or contacts in one eye might be slightly different from the number in the other eye.

However it would be more feasible if you use lenses for distant vision and use glasses while reading.
