Peasant Farmers of Ghana (PFAG) moving towards organic farming
The Peasant Farmers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has declared arrangements to accomplice government to present organic fertilizers in the Ghana.
This takes after grievances from some peasant farmers about the dangerous impacts of inorganic fertilizers on the earth.
Projects Officer of PFAG, Charles Nyaaba says the association has begun making recommendations to government to allow it work with the Accra Compost and Recycling plant towards that end, from one year from now.
Nyaaba says this is a piece of the association’s plan B to expanding the act of organic farming in the Ghana.
“We are attempting to change a little far from the inorganic fertilizer to carbon-based cultivating and manure is obviously better than inorganic fertilizer,” he told Europa Taylor in a meeting.
