The Anglican Primate of West Africa, Most Reverend Professor, Yinkah Sarfo has requested to Ghanaians to finish the politicization of Nayele Ametefeh, cocaine saga.
Most clergy person Professor Yinkah Sarfo said politicizing the arrest of Nayele Ametefeh makes the fight opposite to drugs intricate.
Professor Yinkah Sarfo, making the recent saga a political affair is an accusation on the fight opposite to the menace.
Dear Ghanaians we should come together to solve this drug menace let us all come together and fight the drug menace and stop doing politics with it because Ghana’s name is at pole.
Ghanaians cannot be taken for accepted all the time by politicians I always say that Ghana is not for politicians alone. It belongs to all of us. Traditional leaders’ workers farmers’ women and children and so on are all stake holders of anything that responsibility of our nation, the Anglican primate added.
Ruby Appiah alias Nayele Ametefeh was arrested at the Heathrow Airport in the United Kingdom after about 12 kg of cocaine was found in her luggage.
She has requested guilty to charges leveled opposite her.
A former Minister of Interior Nana Obiri Boahen currently said government has corrupted its image by weaking to put in place high security measures to assure the arrest of Nayele Amtefeh at the Kotoka International Airport.
But the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress NDC Asiedu Nketsiah in a counter statement supported interpreter of the government to rather turn their fire on public servants who are working at the Kotoka International Airport.
He also said, there is no evidence linking Nayele Ametefe to the NDC or government.
