Tension spreads across Mali as worst Ebola epidemic has appeared in the country, leaving a 25-year-old woman dead who was treating a Guinea man suspected to suffer with virus.
The death have left behind huge chances to infect others during the course of his final ceremonies, as the imam, the man who was being treated by nurse, was washed at by mourners at a Bamako mosque and returned to his home country.
More than 90 people have quarantined including a United Nations personnel in the capital city, Bamako following deaths reported. The latest Ebola hit country has established quarantined cell at Bamako Pasteur clinic.
The World Health Organization has announced official deaths have crossed the 5,000 mark and more than 14,000 have shown the epidemic, including medical personnel’s, patients and African soldiers from the UN in Mali.
Deadly Ebola reaches Mali
The quarantined hospital is the same medical facility where nurse worked, one of the top medical centers. And the main reason to quarantine the hospital was that the deadly virus could manage to infect other medical staff.
The officials and authorities are now trying hard to find out the suspected persons who had contact with infected ones.
Traditional rites are the key reason to spread Ebola in the African nations, since attended of the final ceremonies are at high risk to be exposed for the virus.
