In a meeting of The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on Thursday, President of Ghana, Mr. John Dramani Mahama tempted to Heads of State in the West African sub region to lead the fight against Ebola in order to draw international sympathy through the ECOWAS Conference.
Moreover, he said that, we cannot and must not leave them as the disease found them… and the damages in those countries should not signal the end of these countries. He said this when he started the astonishing sitting of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Heads of State and Government.
He said that the community has to present and study a memo of the instructions on the circumstances of Ebola in the sub-region. They will intentionally work on a report of the Ministerial Coordination Committee and study updates on the state of affairs of the infection in these countries.

Presidents of Ghana, Mali, Togo, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Niger, Ivory Coast and Senegal were attending the meeting and Vice President of Ghana was also in gathering. Ministers of Liberia, Gambia, Cape Verde, Guinea, Sierra Leone and a government formal was sent in the meeting on behalf of Burkina Faso to attend the ECOWAS Conference.

President Mahama additionally stated that “there was no need dwelling so much on the effects that the infection had made, but to network energies towards finding durable results to the widespread in the sub-region”.
After that, he revealed, although 2000 kids in Liberia alone were recently left parentless by the fatal virus, the three countries were facing economic descent as farming deeds had been delayed over the months.
He carried the horror that if this issue is not properly controlled, it will spread to other countries, adding “Ebola is no longer a Liberian, Guinean or Sierra Leonean issue, not a West African problem, but an international threat that needs instant devotion.”
ECOWAS Conference To Lead Fight Against Ebola
The ECOWAS President said apart from collapsing the economies of the three countries, the virus disturbed traditional events in those countries. He said social actions such as; burials, marriages and other ceremonies that were respected in the continent could no longer be structured for the panic of the deadly virus.The unlucky thing about these countries is that it has affected countries that we are improving from the effects of war and battles and they therefore need the funding of all to stay safe from the Ebola.
ECOWAS Commission President, praised countries and administrations that had so far contributed towards the survival of the victims in the affected countries. Then he gave his words that the community would carry on to offer the necessary coordination that would help to stimulate maintenance for the affected countries in the coming years.
Dr Mohammed Ibn Chambas told about his will to offer any form of help to the affected countries in succeeding times.
