Ghana can be benefited from relation of European Union in the critical time, in the time when the country needs immediate fix for crippling economy.
The Head of the European Union Delegation to Ghana has advised businesses to take advantage of the free trade opportunity with the Union for development. Ambassador William Hanna said while speaking on media, Ghanaian companies can seek favor of European Union investors as the nation has strong ties with the region.
Mr. Hanna asserted that Ghana has enjoyed strong relation with the European Union and in the time of crisis it can be a massive opportunity to further strengthen the relation and support financial development. He also expressed European Union pledge in the favor to improve the environmental situations and management of natural resources.
Hanna insisted that Ghana needs to sort out the ways to get mutual beneficial ties rather relying on one way support. He said Ghana can pursue foreign investors by making potential opportunities for them.
“No investor would want to invest in a country where there are no potential prospects, since the primary aim of any investor is to make profit,” he added.
Ghana has already a massive production of natural resources, such as cocoa, but the Ambassador noted banana production can also bring in huge sum of profit for West African nation.
He further said by prioritizing the manufacturing sector, exporting more goods and services can promote economic development.
